Tension in the Dutch labor market continued to increase in Q1 2022. Whereas in Q4 of 2021 there were 106 job vacancies for every 100 unemployed, a quarter later that figure rose to 133 per 100. The increased tightness is the result of a continued growth in the number of job vacancies (+59k) and a further decline in the number of unemployed (-32k). The number of jobs increased by 127k to a record high of over 11 million.
